3) Summary (User-Friendly)
- No ads. No behavioural tracking.

- Notifications are optional and only remind you to log your mood.

- We do not collect analytics or sell your data.
- If you email us for support, we use your email only to reply.
4) Data We Collect and Why
4.1 Data You Provide
- Moods & Notes: When you select a morning/evening mood or write notes, this is stored locally on your device to show in your daily pages and calendars.
- Photos (optional): If you attach photos, they remain stored only on your device.
- Support emails (optional): If you contact us, we process your email address/message to respond.
Lawful basis: performance of a contract (providing the App), legitimate interests (support), or consent (if applicable).
4.2 Data Collected Automatically (Minimal)
- Notifications: We use iOS/Android system notifications to remind you to log moods. No personal data is collected.
- Purchases (if applicable): If you upgrade in future versions, Apple/Google process payments; we never see your card details.
4.3 We Do Not Collect
- No account sign-up.
- No precise location data.
- No advertising IDs or profiling.
- No access to contacts, microphone, or camera (unless you attach a photo, then the system permission applies).
5) Children’s Privacy
Memoir – Be You is designed for general users and not marketed to children under 13.
- We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
- If a child logs moods/notes, data remains on-device.
- If a child contacts us and shares personal data, email us and we will delete it.
6) Payments & Processors
- App Stores (Apple/Google): If you make a purchase (e.g., subscription or upgrade), Apple/Google process the payment and tax. We never receive card numbers.
- RevenueCat (if used for subscriptions): We may use RevenueCat only to validate purchases and entitlements, configured to collect the minimum data required.

- To send reminders you’ve enabled.

- On-device moods/notes/photos: Stored locally and deleted if you uninstall the App.
- Support emails: Retained up to 24 months unless required longer by law.
- Purchase/receipt data (if applicable): Retained as long as necessary to provide entitlements and meet accounting obligations.
9) International Transfers
We are UK-based. If we use processors outside the UK/EEA (e.g., RevenueCat), we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as UK adequacy regulations or Standard Contractual Clauses).
10) Security
We use administrative and technical measures to protect your information (e.g., local device security, HTTPS for support emails). No method is 100% secure, but we take steps to minimise risk.

You can:
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your personal data.
- Object to or restrict processing.
